StellaRe Award to Maria Manetti Shrem

On September 19th, 2024 the Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Foundation awarded the StellaRe Prize to Maria Manetti Shrem for her extraordinary generosity and sensitivity towards art, music, education, health and science.

“Philanthropist of two worlds”, for over 40 years Maria Manetti Shrem has actively and continuously supported more than 50 charity programs in Italy, France, the United Kingdom, Africa, the United States, and Mexico.

Maria Manetti Shrem, of Florentine origins, brought her entrepreneurial skills to the United States, where she became a key figure in the international diffusion of some of the most iconic fashion brands in the world, such as Gucci and Fendi, while also contributing to global expansion of Made in Italy.

Instituted in 2006 the StellaRe Prize rewards the achievements and egagements of women in the domain of culture, scientific research and economy.
