Temporary Closure Until Further Notice
March 12, 2020

To support the safety and well-being of our visitors and staff, Magazzino Italian Art is temporarily closed to the public until further notice. We are monitoring the recommendations of public officials and the CDC as they relate to COVID-19 and stand united with our community in the Mid-Hudson region regarding decisions about reopening.
Since closing our doors on March 12, 2020, we have launched a new series of digital programs entitled Magazzino da Casa. New artist talks, lectures with scholars, behind the scenes conversations with museum staff, film screenings, and artworks are available at magazzino.art/magazzinodacasa.
As this moment of dislocation persists, Magazzino Italian Art is continuing to provide a platform for exchange and creativity across generations, cultures, and passions. We are channeling the powerful energy of community and collective action through pioneering a new initiative of artist commissions with Homemade, revisiting previous artist projects with features on Marinella Senatore and The School of Narrative Dance (November 2019) and Michelangelo Pistoletto: Walking Sculpture (November 2017) – both of which were made possible through the incredible efforts of Cold Spring residents – and much more. While this series was created in response to this moment, Magazzino da Casa will continue to be a resource for finding additional information related to exhibitions and programs.
We will be regularly updating our website and social media accounts with information about plans for reopening as possible.
Stay safe and be well,
Vittorio Calabrese
Director, Magazzino Italian Art Foundation
