Totokaelo: Magazzino Italian Art: Everyday Material

In November of 2017, Nancy Olnick and her husband Giorgio Spanu walked alongside famed artist Michelangelo Pistoletto as they pushed a new rendition of his iconic Scultura de Passeggio (Walking Sculpture) down the main drag of Cold Spring, NY. The first time one of these newspaper-clippingclad spheres bobbed around the hands of a crowd was in Turin in 1967; both that sphere and this one were covered in newspaper clippings of the day, boasting headlines reflective of their respective times and locations of deployment.
