Marie-Louise Petitpierre

Sales Manager

Marie-Louise Petitpierre is an alumna of the University of Geneva in Switzerland, where she graduated with a degree in Art History and Philosophy, specializing in European Medieval Art. In addition to her academic studies she took numerous classes and workshops in drawing, painting, graphic design, ceramics and other decorative arts and related crafts. Prior to joining the Magazzino team, she had interned at the Guggenheim Museum in the Department of Public Affairs, worked at the United Nations in the field of public information, and more recently at Dia Beacon in Visitors Services and in the bookstore.

Because of her longstanding commitment to community involvement, Marie-Louise spent several years volunteering in pro-bono organizations, such as Catholic Charities, offering assistance at pop-up legal clinics throughout the Hudson Valley. Her love and knowledge of Italian art and culture led her to Magazzino Italian Art Museum where she is now striving to offer visitors and museum members an extension of the museum experience through fine Italian decorative arts pieces in the store. She has been living in the lower Hudson Valley for over ten years.
