Alexa Hoyer is a New York City-based German visual artist and photographer whose work has been exhibited internationally, including at Mana Contemporary (NJ), PS122 Gallery (NYC), the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston (TX), Arles Les Rencontres de la Photographie (France), PHOTO IS:RAEL, the Inside Out Arts Museum (China), and the Eastern State Penitentiary (PA). Her photography has been featured in Hyperallergic, The New York Times, Vice Magazine, Urban Omnibus, DOMUS, and Harper’s Magazine, among others. Alexa holds an MFA from Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, PA.
Since 2017, she has been part of the photography team at Magazzino, where she undertakes a variety of editorial, promotional, and installation photography assignments for the Foundation. Beyond her work at Magazzino, she collaborates with a diverse range of clients—including architecture firms, art museums, galleries, and nonprofit organizations—on an array of photographic projects.
